A weeks worth of updates

I've been invited to attend Business After Hours presented by the Bangor Chamber of Commerce. This will be one of the first events in the new auditorium and I'm very thrilled to check out the new space! There will be door prizes & giveaways, catering and elbow rubbing with some awesome business people in my community. I'm looking forward to putting on a dress. Maybe I can even get my sister to curl my hair...

The next week is shaping up to be awesome. Tomorrow is the day I've been preparing for and talking about for months! I finally get to teach my first hoop dance class ever. I've been working out some ideas in my head, jotting down some notes, and talking to other hoop instructors in the state. I think I'm ready, but a lot of this is going to have to be improvised and catered to each individual's ability. I've planned some exercises so that people can try various hoop sizes to see the difference. And I have a basic idea of which tricks I'm going to introduce in the first class. Ah. What a dream this is. So grateful.

Wednesday is the Newcomer's night for Fusion Bangor held at Coespace. This is another event for young residents of the Bangor area to meet one another and network ideas. I'm excited to hand out some business cards and spread my hoopin hippy love.

Thursday I'll be doing a street performance downtown for the Fresh Air Market and Cool Sounds Summer Concert Series. There is going to be 30+ Vendors and live music. Heres the lineup for the rest of the summer:

June 6th Brian Catell & The Jump City Jazz Band
June 13th Juke Rockets
June 20th Travis Cyr
June 27th Rog and Ray
July 4th Bangor Band
July 11th Dark Hollow Bottling Company
July 18th The Mallett Brothers Band
July 25th Retrorockerz
August 1st Flash! in the Pans Steel Drum Band

Friday I'll be at my regular spot at the Carmel Farmer's Market. We will be kicking off new hours beginning June 14 from 2-6pm.

Sunday is the Foundation, Flow and Flair workshop with Anah in Union, Maine. This chick has some serrrrious funk plastered in her hoop moves. I can't wait to learn from her! Plus I'm excited to see some members of my hoop family.

I'm mostly just writing all this stuff out so I actually remember to go to everything!

I'm off to work on some hoops for class as well as a few hoops that have been custom ordered. Coming soon: order forms for hoops and a hoop jam announcement! Happy Hooping!
